Call Accounting Packages

Tapit, by Trisys Inc, seems to be the leader in easy to integrate 3rd party call accounting packages. Sitting on its own box, Tapit collects data and dumps it into a database with an integrated reporting engine. Getting it to work with different systems can be tricky. Here is and article on integrating Tapit and Vertical TeleVantage that really helps out! Basically, you need to lie to Tapit about what system is on the other end of the SMDR messages.
