Complex Passwords
Complex passwords can be defined as being made up of a mix of capital letters, lower case letters, punctuation and numbers. Using a complex password is a good way to make a password had to get a hold of. In conjunction with an account lockout policy, it can make unauthorized access extremely difficult. Even if an attacker has access to password hashes, the time it takes to crack a password increases exponentially for each possible character included in the set. Choosing a complex password is one part of creating what is refered to as a ’strong’ password.
